What a guy - no RNLI call-out here - is this the new benchmark

As the sun slowly sinks behind Lundy that plucky little yacht is still there.

She rode at her anchor unbelievably, pitching skyward and nose down for the bottom only to rise again to the next onslaught.

Estimate of 6-8 foot surf

She took the ground in a lessened sea at 19:12 ish

Mast Whip - apologies about pics still over a mile away

The wind has dropped away almost completely and the forecast smiles on him with Westerly backing Southerly 3/4 occ 5 for next 48 hours

Southerly doesn't have much reach where he is so let's hope.

Still can't find the chap - would offer to ferry him about ref engines/warps/whatever - new in area he might not know many

Incredible what holding power of the anchor - must give us all some faith if ever we needed it.

From the basic nature of the original error, I wonder if this is a newbie who is avoiding facing up to the problem of getting off? Can't be doing the boat any good to keep taking that pounding - plus the strain on the stemhead & cleat.

Just had e-mail saying the yacht had managed to get clear -
at least she wasn't visible at HW when he looked.

Incredibly strong - frend will find out if any damage
