Thanks to all who came to Cherbourg. A windy wet sail back but a grand evening meeting so many famous names. Funny how the forum image differs from reality! Pity the Twister turned back tho good to see Ken jump ship and arrive.
Gave Stingo a stability test - 32 on his boat!- and bade him farewell as he departs for a solo Biscay crossing. Great organisation of meal by Nick.
Same again soon - perhaps a little earlier in the year with Neaps. Hope to meet you all again soon.
Cheers Richard

Glad you had a good time, wish we could have been part of it. Who was the camera man/woman? We demand photographic evidence online so we can be even sorrier about what we missed!

Absolutely Cutter, wouldn't have missed it for the world. Arcturus has a story to tell about the trip back but it is a work in progress at the moment.
One of our crew (who shall remain nameless) was on his initiation X Channel. At 01.30 this morning when finally the boat was put to bed was heard to say "Maybe I'll stick to the Solent in future, it's going to be a long time before I'm ready for THAT again" Shame.
Quote from the skipper at the end of the trip " I think my only mistake was not putting 2 reefs in" - now he tells us!!
Great to meet you all and a final VERY BEST OF LUCK TO STINGO AND HIS PLANNED SOLO BISCAY, and I'm sure I speak on everyone's behalf.
See you all next year if not before.

Wasted time - Pah - we slipped passed you with our HR cloaking device activated.. so you didn't even notice us in front -

A big thanks to everyone who made the weekend so enjoyable, especially Ken & Nick for the organization.
