So I ordered some plastic glass to replace some in the heads , but not great so replaced with glass . But I now use the plastic to slide under he engine r around the back to spot any dirt can highly recommend you get a piece to see awkward spots.

Talking of marinas when are you coming out of yours and coming over the water to Conwy, ps how are you mate.

all good thanks matey.....harbours had a flapgate issue and the Water level dropped below retained depth so had to get a lift out and inspection. Not great in December but all OK.

defo got Conwy on the list......I can show Bruce a proper fast boat ?

This tool is, in my opinion, a big contender for the title. It has very simply cured the problem it is designed for a few times for us, and once also kept our boating friends from a return-to-port event. That poor captain came up one morning with the bad news that they had to return to port. That week was exceptionally warm, sunny and nice, so he wasn't happy. Hang on, I said, went down and got the tool. Handed it over, and 3 minutes later, the formerly unhappy captain emerged with a smile as bright as the shining sun above us. Week saved.

Simple function, easy to use, very effective, and costs a minuscule percentage of what might otherwise be the result.

You've run out of deck and hull to polish and so now you're peering at the back of your engines for dust? You need to find a friend you sad beggar :D. When are you next down? I'll help you celebrate the New Year, your shout and all the usual caveats. (y)

Down for the new year

I got a decent key ring bottle opener in a cracker....not 316 stainless for marine environment but I’ll manage. It’s already on the boat keys
