I've been exploring many boxes of stuff given to me by may father when he gave up sailing. In one of them is a Whale Gusher 15 bilge pump, brand new in box. A good googling suggests that neither this nor its service kit exist any more. Anyone know if it it possible to keep these gong, perhaps with the diaphragm from another Whale pump, or do I just get rid of it for what anyone will give me on eBay?

I repaired my 35 year old Mk11 Henderson pump by making a new diaphragm out of an old tractor inner tube. It's been as good as new this last 2 years. If you do decide to sling your gusher out, I'll happily have it!

Had the same problem, you will find that some of the parts you need are now also included on the newer Whale pump models ,but Whale NI did not tel me this although they are very helpfull and pointed me in the right direction to Mac Eng below.
I needed a new rubber diaphram so try these people also very helpfull and good service, used them twice.

Thanks for the tip. I tried them, but they couldn't offer any help with the Gusher 15 at all. So onto eBay it goes ... it has to be worthwhile as source of spares to someone!
