My freshwater pump has stopped working. I've checked that there's power to it and I can pump water using the foot pump so there's no blockage in the pipes. I've given it a tap with a hammer too (that worked 30 years ago on the electric fuel pump in my Mini!) but it remains steadfastly silent.

Does anyone know if these pumps can be repaired, or is it just a case of throw it away and buy new?

Hi Houleaux,

My names Sheila and I work at Whale. I'm really sorry but we don't make the Clearstream 700 any more and have stopped producing spares kits for it too. Unfortunately that means a new freshwater pump!

Depending on the cut out pressure needed and number of outlets used for we have 8ltr, 12ltr and 18ltr freshwater pumps available - the Universal Range. If you would like to contact us on +44(0)28 9127 0531 or info@whalepumps.com we can help you. Otherwise if you want to look at our specification table at this link it can show you the available options:

Thanks and any other questions please do not hesitate to contact us!
