I have one of these - and I'm very pleased with it with the exception of the outboard bracket, which is a nasty piece of painted steel.

This - as you would expect hasn't lasted.

I believe that a stainless bracket is now available, but my local supplier says they wont have them in stock until late April.

As boat is on a swinging mooring - I'm really keen to get my hands on a s/s bracket for the start of our season (beginning April) - either its out with the wire brush and Hammerite again....

Does anyone know of a supplier with these in stock?

Thanks

Donald

I have the same dinghy.

Mark Dowland are the importers I believe.
You could try Piplers in Poole...

I had the same problem with the oars - mine broke (snapped at the joint where you fold them) and after a little correspondence Dowland agreed to replace them. However then I was told there was no stock and they were waiting for the oars to come from China. Went on for months while I learnt how to "paddle". In the end I think they got bored of me asking and got a chandler on South Coast to mail them to me.

So if you get hold of Mark Dowland they usually know if any of their Chandlers have got stock.

I think that everyone that has had one of these has had problems with the outboard bracket. I have nad one replaced but the first time I used the new one it went rusty as well!

The importers are based in Wareham Tel: (01929) 551138

Twinrudders/Tross

Thanks for the very helpful info.

I had the bracket replaced after the first season as well - and it looks as if one of my oars is going too at the hole for the pin

I will ask if bracket is available ,,,,,, and price!
