Worth throwing in that my wife and me both bought Henri Lloyd breathable kit a while back, and while the fit was good for her it has not worn at all well, particularly in comparison with friends who bought Musto HPX around the same time.

My crew who is a short arse has musto and seems very happy with them. The women’s trousers have better proportion for the female figure, she had never complained of discomfort. I have when I have inadvertently picked up her trousers mistaking for my own, and shriek as I am cut in half /forums/images/icons/smile.gif

I\'m 5\'1\" and my experiences are...

I liked the look of the Gill. Very good price for the ocean quality, breathable, articulated suit. But of course it was 6-7 inches too long in the trouser leg. I suppose due to them being cheap they are very narrowly cut, meaning that if you are also a size 16, or perhaps even a portly gentleman, you need a large size just to accomodate the width. Although Gill originally said they would shorten the trousers, they would only chop off the bottom of the leg and not take length out at the thigh in order to bring the knee patches up to the knee. The suits are made in China and Gill have no way of doing anyting but the most simple of alterations. So now I have taken out a mortgage and am wearing Musto. I have found a very comfortable pair of trouseres sized 'medium broad' and a 'small' ladies jacket. The ladies jackets do have shorter sleeves and fit very well.

I seem to recall that Tyke Sports who advertise in P.B.O at the back will make to measure if not in stock at no extra charge, Got a pair of none breathable trousers from them 5 years ago, still going strong and keeping the wet stuff where it belongs. The price was way below anyone else at the time. If I remember right they are based just outside Huddersfield. Mike.
