Westward next week

Hope you’re enjoying your tour of the W Country. Now you’ve got down to Falmouth it’s definitely worth going the extra 6 miles or so and visiting the Helford (but not if there’s any E in the forecast). It’s a lovely river.
You could easily spend a week in the Fal and still not see it all. A trip up the river towards Truro is highly recommended, there are pontoons either side of the King Harry ferry. Our favourite spot to spend a few days, but you do need a dinghy. On the way you’ll almost certainly pass some big ships laid up in the river, quite a sight.
Enjoy the rest of your trip, maybe catch up another time?

Well that was fun! We missed the Exe sadly, but called in to Weymouth, Dartmouth, Salcombe, Yealm, Fowey, Falmouth, Malpas, StMawes and Looe.
No problem finding a berth, really helpful and friendly Harbour Staff, weather was a bit mixed (typical UK Summer).

A look at marine traffic website shows a lot of traffic just from sensible ones with AIS . Have you had any replies from locals on the Dart as most marinas there seem too busy to answer the phone .

Interesting statement - do you believe that anyone without AIS is not sensible?
