just got back from a weekend visit to weston, seven of us and three boats fellow forumites tonybarebones and tre4 included.great sail over and after watching wales lose to ireland in the dolphin we thought we would poke our nose in the yacht club see if they were open, as it happened they were having a curry night and even though we missed the curry the galley slaves rallied round and presented us with a fantastic spread including sumptuous desserts. i would like to give a big thanks from all of us for the welcome they showed us and for going out of there way to feed us thanks to all involved. wild sail back today, 35 knots of wind on the nose with some pretty big waves coming out of the river how wrong can the met office get on sat morning they were predicting 6 to 12 mph winds for sunday

really nice people arent they. Can be "interesting "outside the Axe in a strong NWly. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Yes what a fantastic weekends weather, must say thanks to all at the yacht club for making such an effort to look after a weary bunch of sailors. punching the NWly was quite er "interesting" graham, wind had dropped to 18 knots by the time we got to Cardiff though.
