Westerly table / double bed arrangement

In an old Westerly how does one drop the table and convert the salon into a double bed? The table is held up by two posts - each with a clamp top and bottom.

I'm sure I've read that it should be possible, but I'm not seeing it.

Does the table not stay in place? Which model of Westerly is it?

You need a couple of shorter posts. Trafalgar might supply them.

Maybe not quite to the point but we found the twin pedestal/double bed arrangement too space consuming. I cut the table down in size and converted the double pedestal to a single one. Result? Two single berths in the saloon and a lot more space instead of three cramped berths and no room to move.
