Westerly Pageant Keels - wobbly?

it has been known if the boat dries out between tides it will create flex in the joints

Not a problem unless in DEEP mud. The vast majority of Laurent Giles twin keels (and there are several thousand of them) have been drying out twice a day for between 20 & 40 years without problems. Centaurs (& only certain Centaurs) were recognised to have a possible weaknes & were recalled for modification, no other model was ever recalled for keel strengthening.

They were designed to dry out twice a day for ever.

I suggest you check out the Westerly Owners forum. There's a number of threads on bilge keels E.g. http://www.westerly-owners.co.uk/woaforum/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=1592

A quick look suggest that Griffons and Centaurs suffered most; with Konsorts and Pageants it is not unknown. I nearly bought a Warwick once (and now rather wish I had) that had its bilge keels strengthened with four tailor-made cross-wise s/s u-tubes each; looked an absolutely bulletproof but very expensive job.
