It's you who needs to pay attention. While you didn't use the word yourself, your post was attempting to refute Bru's statement "Erm, no it couldn't. Not if they were identical other than the thickness of the layup", which you clearly hadn't read fully before responding.

I didn't use the word, because i was not suggestion they were identical.
What's hard for you to understand ? Just because hull A is heavier then hull B it does not mean it is stronger. Just because it is thicker and stronger does not mean it is stronger, more stable, more rigid or more anything else, other than more heavy.
I have a 2 large sheets of GRP, they are a bit floppy, so i add some layers of matting to one, it is now 3 times as thick and 3 times as heavy. To the other i add some strips of foam and i glass them in. This sheet is mostly still the same thickness as it was and weighs a bit more, but nowhere near as much as the other sheet. Which one do you imagine to be the stronger ?
Or, i decide to remake a sheet and use biaxial cloth, now which is the stronger ?
Or, i vacuum form another sheet, now which is stronger ?
I'm not knocking any make or model of boat, i'm simply saying that comparing the weight of one 34' hull against another 34' hull is meaningless.
