I have a load of est System 407 lightweight filler powder and Polyurethane resin. I dont want to use the Epoxy i have for a little faring work on the boat for obvious reasons.

Is it ok to use the 407 with the Poly resin ?

Cant see where it says you cant in the details and spec sheets as all it mentions is Epoxy which it is made for i think.

Captain Faffer :)

Polyurethane resin ? Do you mean polyester resin?

If yu do mean polyurethane then sorry don't know

I believe West 407 may be a phenolic resin " microballoon" type of filler .. If soi t is not suitable for use with polyester or vinylester resins because it can be subject to styrene attack which
may cause the spheres to collapse.
