Anybody or any club going in for that weekend or more importantly going in on the Friday 04/05/2018.
RCC trip organised by Murv is travelling round on Saturday.
If lock is opening for any other club on the Friday would very much to go in with them as they lock in subject to contacting lock office.
Do know that Medway YC is going round but not sure which day.

TMYC are going in on Saturday morning, I've emailed WID to ask if they do have any lock-ins on the Friday so will let you know if you don't get any response on here.

I hope you're not going up early to get some sneaky RC yacht racing practice in!!

That reminds me a few Thames boats are coming round to RCC for the sweeps festival.
Must remember to padlock the electricity plug and hide anything not actually bolted to pontoon.

The mere thought had not even begun to cross my mind .......trust me

Whoo Hoo ........ our weather has hinted the temps will be on the rise for WID weekend.
Ps.
When they refuse to open the lock on Saturday due to not enough enough boats, can you stay close to the river bank for a bit ...want to try out some new water pistols . :)

Don't you worry yourself about the Saturday boats, the whole weekend will be a seamless operation, all planned with military precision.
All details have been passed on, everybody is booked in at their relevant times and places, you have a "special" mooring and our water canon have been overhauled and are fighting fit :D

Re: West India Dock over Weekend of 4th - 7th May

Think there now will be only four brave skippers risking life and limb and attempting to battle their way round on Friday at the crack of lunchtime !
Brian & Jean have indicated they might go up on Saturday with you as well .
As usual, suspect a few will tag along at the last moment just to add to the confusion.
Stories of a renegade mutinous group going round to Ramsgate, however that seems to have collapsed, so might pick up one or two on WID adventure more esp if the wind is rubbish.

Yes, that's all planned in and added to the spreadsheet. They may, or may not be coming up on the Friday, or the Saturday, or not at all.
The rebel boat for Ramsgate is probably going with you on Friday, but possibly not. And, might be booked in for the meal on Saturday, maybe with two, maybe with four, or possibly not at all.

Only 18 months left to go...

Never to early to start campaigning for your re-election, youve got my vote :)

Well, I've booked warm and sunny with virtually no wind for Saturday, so the yacht race may be better on Sunday.

They'll be no backing out from this corner, I've never won a yacht race before so looking forward to it :)
The flappy bits, sticks and various bits of string have all been tweaked to perfection, the "race" is merely a formality and just a demonstration of the speed of my boat and the natural skills of the helm.
I've even practiced my bestest non-gloating expression and prepared a speech to try and act humbly as I take the virtual first place trophy.
