It's going to struggle to hit 10 degrees tomorrow.

I want to do my boot lone with Hempel Hard Antifoul - 7679A. The data sheet doesn't mention a temperature where it can't be used but only gives usage examples down to 10degrees. (30 minute drying time.)

I also want to use a bit of West Epoxy with the fast setting hardener. Apparently this shouldn't be used below 10 degree. (And to my suprise when I got it out of the garage can't be stored below 10degress 😱 - that ship has sailed.) (Cosmetics not important.)

So are these temperature just guidelines or do I need to really stick to them?

TIA.

Had problems with West Epoxy when the boatyard left the shed door open to the outside air in coldish weather. We got amine blush between layers with the result that over time we got blisters forming. Looked like the pox but was different with an alkaline fluid if you pricked them rather than the vinegar one you get with poly. The yard had to gelplane the surface to get rid and then re-epoxy with the doors shut and under supervision by West

Do you mean the boot topping??
most boot toppings are above the water line and hull antifoul if this is the case I used 2 x International Toplac, lasts for ages and you can scrub it ,where as antifoul you will erode it by scrubbing2012.JPG
