West Country Meet - update

Hi guys.

Sunday night the Spaniard will definitely be open but it will also definitely be the last night it is open until March.

I said I had a bunch of hard drinking guys coming which encouraged MArtin to keep it open although he was half inclined to closre at lunchtime. I have also bullied a few regulars to come along for a 'wake' and drink up all the unfinished beer etc.

There will be food, I am assured, but the selection might be limited - all a bit spirit-of-the-blitz, stiff upper lip, doing it for England, if you know what I mean.

Please, as many come as possible so don't feel a fraud - and I hate drinking on my own

well it happened, and they did run out of draught beer though it can't be entirely attributed to the s/butters.

present were jj, penultimate, pessimist, pragmatist, floatything & yours truly plus various members of the cargreen club. apologies to anyone who got lost on the way in narrow lanes with missing signposts and herds of wandering bullocks.

we briefly discussed the proposed west country meet and there was a general inclination towards the scillies. others wanted a booze run so we'll probaly do both. when my 2005 almanac arrives i'll work out a couple of suitable early-season weekends.
