We will soon be making journey from Plymouth to Clyde so are looking at the potential stop overs.
Average boat speed will be 9k and we want to avoid overnight passages. Boat is 45ft.
Current thinking is to start with Falmouth and then Newlyn but any suggestions for the rest?

At 9 kts then Newlyn - Milford Haven at 100 miles would take 12 hours inc entry exit etc. which is a days run so that avoids poncing round the Bristol Channel. I suppose Arclow at another 79 miles could get you to the Irish coast for a nice trip north with decent short stops before crossing back to the Clyde. But of course it is a longer way round. Depends what the OP wants out of the trip.

Was thinking of Newlyn-Padstow-Milford, if they are each suitable.
We will be in no rush and want to enjoy the journey.

Defo do the Irish coast if you have time , Arclow ,Greystones , Bangor , Ballycastle strait across to the Clyde.
