Some Bar Steward hit my car door hard & left. The real shame is the note they left under the wipers has blown away. :disgust:

Sorry to see this Roger, Its got to be the county set that come for their Hunter wellies et al. Five bar get is just about big enough for them .

Hi, Mr C. What a bu**er. Just a thought from the indentations on the door. Was it perhaps a pickup or one of those "ranger" type of cars? (or even a trailor?). I find the dent parallel with the road to be unusual and possibly significant.
We are investigating

It was a white vehicle, the bumper height is not much higher than my Mondeo by the look of it

Possibly & done Friday evening / night.
when i parked (very close the the fence) there was a pick-up @ 90 deg to the car but it was black. At least down "The Meadow" it only got covered in dust n grit.

Well its a £700.01 repair job, a complete new door as its banana`d it away from the seals. pleased its a new door rather than a repair / filler job.
So thats my excess up the spout. wont be using the car park any more, its safer in the yard

Make sure they put enough paint on it. When I had new door fitted, rust spots within 3 months. Better parking at Shotley as well.

Ta will tell them, John R Ford @ Royston.
Last time i used P & R from Baberham Rd Cambridge & they are rubbish, painted the rear bumper the wrong shade & said it looked good to him, i will move it sir its the light or your eyes. put the old bumper back on or respray it was my response. I will never use them again

Never used JR Ford for bodywork so can't comment on their paint skills. Servicing always seemed OK though.

My sympathy, there is nothing more infuriating than being hit by an idiot who then drives off leaving no details.

Correct & i was parked almost touching the fence on the n/s some 10" in from the box white line. Fortunately the only damage is to the door & not the front wing & door. The real damage is to my wallet.

That's not good. My sympathy too.
SWMBO and I have had a few dinks over the years in the car park (and a couple of break ins!)
Parking in the bays facing the marina is also a problem as they are so narrow (like every other car park in the country!!), you risk a door bashing you side. That also means that the ability to reverse round is impeded by the fact you can't turn very much until you are pretty much out of the space so your tail is then close to the cars on the fence.
I always park between the midway point and the gate but on the fence and keep everything crossed.
Still doesn't account for some a******e not having the decency to do the right thing when they bash your vehicle.:(
Shame there is no CCTV available for you to review
Have you put a notice up in the club/heads asking for witnesses. Someone must have seen the event or even the vehicle involved parked there. If it WAS a white van, it may have been signwritten......
