Were late Fletchers any good?

I've seen some smaller, late (2000/2001) Fletcher 19 GTS boats going for what look like good prices... but I remember reading that they had manufacturing quality problems before going out of business.

Does anyone have any knowledge of these craft and/or generally, whether they know of any problems with this type of boat?

I'm not going to run then down, but I've heard the same stuff regarding quality. My advice - steer clear.

I heard that although still ok that the fletchers from the start of the 90's onwards werent laid up as heavy and without the extra strengthening that the pre 90's models had, they also had less v in the hull, later still it was reported that they were known to have 'wavey' hulls and other problems. I wouldnt say avoid them completely but if it were me id go for earlier model or newest models.
