We arrived back at Bridgemarsh from the Baltic on Saturday. It was great to be welcomed in by Lisa. Alshira is looking a bit grubby and salt-stained, but would welcome visitors any weekend.

The trip back was super. We took it in quite small jumps - mainly just 30-mile days, to allow us to see round the places we stopped at. So we visited a number of German islands, one Danish one, some Dutch canals and towns, a big German canal (not in that order), and crossed the North Sea in a glassy calm from Den Helder to Lowestoft. The worst bit was Lowestoft to the Orwell, on Thursday in a F6 on the nose (which we sailed until the tide turned foul). The Wallet on Friday, in contrast, was in pussy-cat mood.

Alshira sails beautifully - much better than our Moody did. We are chuffed to bits with her.

So, you are rescheduling the Pirate weekend - can someone explain - we'd love to come if it doesn't clash with grandchildrens' birthday parties or similar.

Shiny thing on the pontoon yesterday. I thought the sun had come out, so I put my shades on.
Turned out to be some flash new boat called Alshira.
The owners must be very rich......
