We\'re back in one piece!

Hello all.
Well, we made it. We're back in one piece.
We went out this morning from Chichester to Portsmouth, it was great! (what else can I say)
Coming back into Chichester this evening, we had a problem with a yacht going outbound that insisted on cutting accross the channel right next to the green buoy, the boat behind me gave him 5 blasts of the horn and I did the same, did that have an effect? .NO. So numerous words were exchanged along the lines of: ME-what are you doing over on this side?
Yacht-I have to tack
Me- You have your engine running
Yacht- SO?
So on my first proper trip I have allready encountered 'boat rage'
P.S I do not mean to ignite the "Great MoBo Vs Yachtie argument"

Ah the joys of boating. Sails on a raggie boat are the same as diplomatic immunity, the rule book goes out the window. And your a stinkie so you don't know what your doing/forums/images/icons/wink.gif

Now what you've just experienced is the "honeymoon period", now lets see how long it is before your cursing a certain engine, costs for this and that, being ripped off for everything and anything remotely connected to the boat.

Well, just had a lovely weekend wrestling with outdrives that don't, being told "sorry, don't stock those parts anymore". So it looks like new engine and drive or a dodgy insurance claim!. Na, maybe not. On top of all that SHMBO wants the boat closer to home. Now that means either brighton, chichester or the Thames. Brightons out, boring cruising areas, Thames is to slow and I spend my life going up and down and getting nowhere. So it looks like chichester. A Premiere Marina.....at a premium price!!
