A bit late but I thought I would just post a few photos of new boat . We are well chuffed to get a P42 at last and having only owned her for a couple of weeks we are 110% confident that we picked the right boat for us . Spec is Volvo TAMD 75s ( over 32 knots delivering her from hamble  ) , raymarine E120s up and down , 4kw onan genny and a bimini for the sunny English weather  .

RK put her a bit close to mendez marines Motala for my liking:eek:

Have got a few niggly little jobs to sort and got to get used to 6 knots in gear at idle ( close quarters in the marina ) but hopefully will see a few of you out there for a beer or three :encouragement:

Thanks guys , looking forward to getting some miles on her now I`ve just done engine service etc , ( starboard impellor was fun!!! ) . Will post some more photos when I have some decent ones . One question to be going on with , I have a 2.8 mtr ribeye to mount , dinghy chocks or snap davits ?.

Many congrats! Our first 'proper' (25 ft!!) boat was also called Rioja, so I already have an emotional attachment to your new boat.

Wishing you many happy years ahead :)

I have Hurley davvits on my Azi with a 2.7 RibEye. Makes launch and recovery easy, and sits nicely on the bathing platform.

Lovely boat, many congrats! :)

Chocks or Hurley I would say, that way the engine can stay on. Snap davits are fine but are a compromise when it isn't possible to use another method IMHO.

Lovely boat! Congratulations.

The P42 really is a great boat and one that's on our long term radar. Look forward to more pictures from you.

Congratulations. The P42 is an outstanding boat and in my opinion one of the best Princess have ever made. We enjoyed ours a great deal and I am sure you will enjoy yours too :)

Congratulations, lovely boat, i'll have a nose next time I'm in LYH. I'd try and get the tender on chocks or Hurley davits, so you can leave the outboard on.

Thanks again for the kind words , I think I will have to take the rib down to the boat and sit it on the platform to see how it looks . SWMBO is loving the wide open space when we are berthing so I could have my decision made for me :o
