Well done Shirley and crew

Re: An allytereight rites

Depends on what you mean by BBCi? - but if you have internet connection, then BBCi is available to you, as it is simply BBC intereractive which is an internet service. There are several Olympic channels available (though they say you need broadband, I'm accessing it fine on dial up)

If you are talking about BBC TV interactive services, these are available as free to view through Freeview which don't have a subscription charge, just need a small box linked to your TV.

Re: An allytereight rites

The BBCi coverage is also only any good if you can watch it live - there is no rerun during the evening. Still lots of good stuff to watch tomorrow.

Re: An allytereight rites

No its not, when will the BBC realise that most people who want to watch sailing are sailors themselves and go sailing at weekends?

Re: A pedant writes

I think we agree that: "it's" substitutes for it is and "its" is possessive.

I blame jimi for changing his post.

Actually I blame jfm. I used to be a regular round these parts and jfm wanted some advice on a contract for building a house. Somehow I also ended up building a house which - coupled with the day job and the odd bit of sailing - meant very little time to post on this board. When I got round to looking at this forum again I found I couldn't use my old username and so after a bit of lurking set up this one a few days ago. I am delighted to see that these posts on punctuation have made me a regular again; feel so much better for it!

Congratulations to Shirley Robertson + crew.
