welding equipment and stainless steel

Very good!!How was it polished?

Firstly, although it's my pulpit, I didn't weld it - my welding these days isn't to that standard and it was an insurance job anyway.

He used pickling paste (which is very nasty stuff) and then polished with usual polishing pad and soap. I generally just use the polishing pad and soap as my wife is against having pickling paste on board in case of accidents/spills.

+1 for the R-Tech tig welders, I've used one before and was very impressed.
Also impressed by that pic of the stick welded pulpit but this would be much harder to achieve than using a tig.
No need for a foot pedal, I have a switch on the back of my torch for adjusting amps but almost never use it.

Bear in mind that in order to weld something, first you have to fabricate it so you'll need a ton of fabrication equipment to go with your welder.
Also, polishing is a trade in itself, a multitude of different shaped pieces will need a multitude of polishing tools.

For just a few bits you can get away with a 115mm mop on a mini grinder, but it does eat mini grinders if you use it a lot. For professional results either an old Canning bench polisher, or an Axminster bench polisher

Ive been welding for a long time now tig mig and stick just remember in stainless and aloy fumes theirs some pretty nasty stuff wear a mask preferably air fed, with plenty of practice you should get the hang of it
