Welder Recommendation

I'd be tempted to remove the roller and take it to a welder, that will cost enough as it is. You won't like the price for him to go to the boat.

Just to make it entirely clear, the welding is to fill the crack on my boat's bow roller, the boat is located at the sailing club on the south side of the river!

Actually, I hope you don't mind if I hitch a ride on this one.

I have a small SS welding job to do as well and the boat is based in Bradwell. It may make it more worthwhile for whoever takes on the job to do two jobs in one go. I have a SS tiller that broke on a few joints. It was temporarily welded using normal welds that are now rusty. I wonder if the old welds can be removed and replaced with SS welds.

I should be able to bring the tiller to wherever your boat is located to get the welddings done in one location.

Happy for you to join me. The only thing is that I am not getting any recommendations so may have to cast my net wider. Will let you know if I get anywhere.

There is a first class stainless steel welder "Hot Metal" Unit 6 based on Abercorn Way, Witham, in the Industrial area.

Did a lovely weld extension to my davits.

We have used Mr Stainless for exactly the same job. Based in Suffolk Yacht harbour (Levington) Did a great job and no need to remove fitting from the boat!

They travel all over.

The daft bit is that the kit is auite mobile.
I had a chap doing stailess stuff for me using a very compact and mobile mains powered unit. Sadly he has moved on to different things.
