Or so it has seemed since 5.30 this morning !
Not only are they unloading a small container ship, which in itself is no silent operation, with each movement of the crane a klaxon sounds.
On a brighter note the new boat is looking good. A few 'issues', but so far more good discoveries than bad.
Good: Decent valise liferaft; tanks over 1/2 full; pair of beaching legs; most electric things work; decent nav kit and all working; small outboard & OKish dinghy; set of teak folding table & chairs; no visitor fees for my stay.
Bad: a bit smelly (but that could be me); shower pump out not drawing water (anyone know where the pump is on a Corvette 32 ?); fresh water pump a bit limp; no water level gauge; a few minor electrical defects; Waeco fridge noisy due to resonance of the rest of the galley structure; windows will need some attention.
Now just got to decide upon her new name.
