WEEKEND WEATHER FORECAST
==========================
Issued: 1600 Thursday 3rd May 2007

FRIDAY ( see http://www.wetterzentrale.de/pics/Rtavn241.png and http://www2.wetter3.de/Fax/bracknell+24.gif )
High pressure centred just to the northwest of Scotland at midday is going to be keeping the weather fair for most of the country. A brisk northeast flow through southeast England is maintained.
Rather a cloud morning for much of East Anglia, southeast England and the Midlands. There may even be an odd spot of rain in places. However, as this morning, the cloud should slowly break and burn back to eastern coasts with sunny spells coming through. Most places are then going to be fine with sunny spells.
To the north and west the weather is going to be staying fair with sunny spells throughout.
Winds will be generally from the east of northeast at 7 to 12kt (F2-F3) but 17-25kt (F5-F6) over the extreme southeast.

SATURDAY ( see http://www.wetterzentrale.de/pics/Rtavn481.png and http://www2.wetter3.de/Fax/bracknell+48.gif )
For the first time in several weeks the high pressure gets eroded away, leaving a ridge through much of England, Scotland and Wales. A weak occluded front moves into western Ireland in the afternoon, ahead of a more organised series of fronts moving in from the west later.
A brisk northeast wind over the southeast at first, with morning cloud here. This is going to be breaking up, with sunny spells then coming through. For the rest of England, Wales, Scotland and eastern Ireland the day is going to be bright. There may be some mist and fog patches at first, but these should clear away, and then the day should be fine with good sunny spells.
Over western Ireland cloud is going to be increasing as the front moves eastwards, perhaps bringing some showers onto western coasts.
Winds will be NE 20kt (F5) over the far southeast, but becoming variable later. Variable 6-10kt (F2) for much of the country, then SW 10kt (F3) through Scotland and Ireland.

SUNDAY ( see http://www.wetterzentrale.de/pics/Rtavn721.png and http://www2.wetter3.de/Fax/bracknell+72.gif )
An occluded front moves eastwards through the country, probably clearing southeast England in the afternoon. The airmass following the front is still going to be moist.
Rain moving eastwards, associated with the front and a brisk southwest wind blowing too. East Anglia and southeast England may be dry in the early morning, but the rain arriving here in the afternoon. Much of the Midlands and northern England having a wet morning with southwest England and parts of west and south Wales perhaps staying dull and damp throughout the day. Brighter weather with showers into the west of Ireland and Scotland, some of the showers heavy here and there.
Winds will be from the southwest at 12-16kt but 20kt in the north (F4-F5).

MONDAY ( see http://www.wetterzentrale.de/pics/Rtavn1081.png and http://www2.wetter3.de/Fax/bracknell+108.gif )
A deeper low west of Scotland, associated with a complex low off southern Iceland. The flow through the UK and Ireland will be dominated by a west wind, with an occluded front into western Scotland and Northern Ireland.
Any remnants of overnight rain should clear from southeast England There will be showers through western England and Wales, a few of them heavy, whilst inland parts of England, and the east, will have fewer showers and a few sunny spells, More persistent rain affecting western Scotland and Ireland, with a few showers to the east. It will be breezy day over Ireland, Scotland and northern England.
Winds mainly W-WSW 18-25kt (F5-F6).
