Hi all,

Well, that was a busy weather day! A tornado in London and 70mph winds for many parts of England and Wales. This is the stuff that keeps me going /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

WEEKEND WEATHER FORECAST
====================
Issued 4pm Thursday 7th December

FRIDAY ( see http://85.214.49.20/wz/pics/brack0.gif )
A trough clears southeast England through the course of the morning. A northwesterly flow through most parts of the country.
Overall it does look like being a more settled day. There will be some showers around, most of them along western coasts of Ireland and northwest Scotland. Elsewhere there will be dry conditions with sunny spells.
Temperatures northwesterly 12-15kt (F4)but 20kt (F5) in the southwest and western Ireland.

SATURDAY ( see http://85.214.49.20/wz/pics/brack1.gif )
A ridge of high pressure builds eastwards during the course of the day with a weak trough clearing to the southeast. Later in the day a warm front will be approaching western parts of Scotland and Ireland.
There could be some morning showers over eastern and southern England, but these should clear quite quickly. Most places should then enjoy a dry day, with some sunny spells.
Cloud will be increasing over western Ireland and western Scotland later, and this will be bringing rain into the far west.
Winds will be NW 12-15kt (F3-F4), becoming more W through the day.

SUNDAY ( see http://85.214.49.20/wz/pics/brack2.gif)
A more disturbed day with a cold front moving into the west of Ireland and western Scotland through Sunday. A ridge of high pressure extends through northern France, with a southwesterly wind elsewhere.
Rain moving into Ireland and western Scotland through the day, that rain heavy at times. Drier elsewhere, although the winds increasing as the day progresses.
Winds will be SW 20-25kt (F5-F6) but 30 (F7) gust 50kt (F9) in western Scotland and Ireland.
