Am afloat at Lechlade. Got as far as dropping the canopy and warming the engine. I was not certain even a short jaunt was a good idea but my neighbour on the mooring said I'd be fine. N.B. He was not going anywhere.
Stood on the bank to undo the mooring lines and nearly got blown over! At full gust the wind made it difficult to stand still. I turned the engine off and opened a beer.
Even not going anywhere, this is much better than being in the house. Except I only brought four cans of beer, (trying to be good), and one blew over. Please send beer!
