Intending to take landlubber SWMBO and youngest on their annual voyage - this year it is to be Brightlingsea to Bradwell on Saturday and return on Sunday! Originally intending to do this last weekend but the weather got in the way.
Trying to get the youngest (he is 9) to WANT to go to he boat. Currently his view is it is boring and he prefers the water taxi ride out and back to the sail. /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif
We've got a long weekend booked and were hoping to do Burnham - Shotley-Woodbridge and back but weather for Monday Tuesday looks a bit iffy. Had all ready downgraded plan of taking Vreny, to jumping on Solene with Chris and Anne, but not liking the idea of heading back south Monday/Tuesday into 25 knots with Bump on board. Maybe it will be a short weekend to the Orwell followed by 2 days of baby preparation at home:-(
On board as ever.
Jobs to do include replacing the pressure switch on the water system - again! (second time this year) /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif and further work to discover the ingress of water into the bilge (which is less now I've dealt with the rudder stock and isolated the constant dribble from the generator anti syphon but still there's something).
As for sailing, well, it would be nice! /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif
Don't ask /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif
Hope those that do get out have a good time, with, or without mother in law /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
Anchored in mouth of Orwell (Thurs evening). Plan to head off to Oostend tomorrow and then into clog-land. May as well get rained on over there as over here...
I am planning to get a couple of winches fitted, and lazy jacks on on Sat, and then go and play outside, and see how easily she handles by myself on Sunday. Fingers crossed for some stable weather.
