so why can't I be on the boat!

SWMBO has a quiz on Sat evening so I need to be on driver duty for 17yo to get home from work at midnight and babysit 11yo, then worse of all I have to go to watch football on Sunday. Me football . Youngest normally bans me from coming as they lose when ever I go but for some reason I have to be there.

Have a great weekend all!

No, not yet and no prospect. Waiting for Air France. 'Our' flight but two days before us if you follow me is flying out tomorrow so perhaps it will be monday.

In the meantime, it's ok...... SWMBO is getting a bit bored. she had two weeks at the hotel without me while I worked and then this week with me so while its a nice one week holiday for me, its just beginning to get boring for her. And there is a general loneliness striking in as couples disappear from the hotel as either a flight becomes available or a cheaper hotel is required.

Could be worse. First BA flight is apparently scheduled for 3rd May! Air Mauritius are trying to get slots at Heathrow for their Heathrow flights so the problem is landing slots at Heathrow not wih the local operators.

Still the 'Pino' fund is still in positive equity......

Same here, cancelled the launch yesterday as I was supposed to be in Italy this week, that was cancelled but we could not change launch date back, so we're now launching next Thursday.

So will 'enjoy' a weekend of perfect sailing weather gardening, painting the house and running kids around.

Well we all have our own problems.

and Black Magic is knacked again too. I don't really understand what's happened, but something has gone wrong between the prop and the shaft and the bit that turns it all. Had to be towed back onto the pontoon yesterday. :-( I'm coming out this week...unlikely to be back in until after the May Day bank holiday CURSES!

what a bummer. Hope you get it sorted.

Sorry to hear the news Lisa, if it's any consolation (which I doubt) Sixpence is still leaking, from the bilges which have been sponged dry, so the water is coming from somewhere but I don't yet know where. May well end up launching before it's fixed, but hope not. Could do without this headache but back at work tomorrow for a break

Umm. It's not starting too well this season is it? Sorry to hear of the sterngear and leak problem. I have to recaulk a couple of seams - this week - if only we can get back. It would appear that our ticket has been deleted from the Air Mauritius records. We were told last night that we were first on the Air France flight and then no, they had forgot to register our seats so we were now priority on the Air Mauritius flight tonight - what does priority mean? It means you have priority on the priority list (sill me for not knowing). Why cannot have a confirmed seat? Because we (Air Mauritius central ticket desk cannot allocate a ticket! - if you think that's bad you should see BA and AF). So I am stuck in Hotel room waiting an 'immediate' call back (It's been an hour).

Stuff it all! Mind you it's 8.30am and 28 degrees.

Sorry to upset you all but I have managed to get to the boat.
Had to attend a Ballet dress rehearsal yesterday morning and then go to The Zoo with my Grand Daughter in the afternoon.
Got on board just before sunset last night.
Now laying in my bunk with the gentle pita-pater of rain on the cabin roof, the sea birds twittering around and the sound of gunfire over towards Ipswich.
May be we are being invaded.

A few little jobs to do and then of home.

Sorry to hear of others problems and hope that they are all fixed soon.
