Wedding venue - Gosport

Anybody know a good venue for a wedding party for about 150 people? My daughter is getting married next year (June), and was hoping to hold the reception in a yacht club somewhere near Gosport. Any suggestions welcome.

How about a yacht instead of a club?

HMS Warrior is nearby and does not actually cost much more than a hall or hotel in the area.

County Caterers have a super menu and the whole ship is yours from 18:00 until midnight...

Give them a call and they may actually show you around and discuss what is available... You might need to book well in advance. Saturday evenings are popular.

Second HMS Warrior suggestion, went to a Black Tie dinner there some years ago, superb venue, though sight line for speaches with 150 people would be difficult.
What about club house at Port Solent - good venue, no problem parking?

Many thanks for your input. My daughter seems to have a preference for the submarine museum, but will be visiting all the suggested venues next week. Your suggestions were very welcome - as ever the forum seems to come up trumps.

All I need to do now is fund the wedding. Why can't they "live in sin", like everyone else......
