Has anybody had experience with these? Are they any good? Will they produce enough hot water to heat a 30ft boat and water in a calorifier?

Thanks

No, only one output max for the TTC which is 5kw, the 4kw max is the TTE, for a 30 foot boat it is quite adequate, I have fitted lots of them and they are excellent units, if you design the water system right and use a pressure vessel instead of a header tank it will perform better. Try to use rads if possible as matrix are not the best performers. I have the full marine install manual if you want a copy, it has chapter and verse on plumbing options as well as just fitting the unit.

5kW unit works a treat in my 32ft Hunter and the ability to have hot water without running the engine is a big plus when on a mooring or anchored.
The calorifier only affects heat output to the radiators until water hot - about half an hour. If this were a problem, I could close off feed to calorifier
but I've never bothered.
Would I change to a warm air system - no chance!

Also forgot to say, but you've picked the right time, the price of Marine / RV kits have just had a substantial price reduction to bring them a bit more in line with vehicle kits.

Im just about to embark on such an installation and having trouble deciding where to locate the header tank I note you suggest the unit works better with a pressure vessel and radiators so will have another look at what I was originally planning. I must admit that I only have basic installation info from the Webasto website which isn't much help. I would greatly appreciate a copy of the marine install manual if this is possible. I also read that its not a good idea to tap into the existing plastic fuel tank, I assume because of the swarf, so Im also thinking of installing a seperate fuel tank does anyone have any thoughts on this please.
