I have a Webasto Thermo Top C and was controlled by a Heatmiser TM1 which is now unserviceable. I have never used all the functions of the Heatmiser and would like to fit a simple on/off switch. I have looked at the Webasto Heater Switch Part No. 9032550A, can any of the experts advise me if this possible to use instead of the Heatmiser.

This can be done by simply connecting the red wire to the black wire to turn on and disconnected to turn heater off. (make sue they are the wires from the webasto loom) So a simple switch will work. On a webasto red is positive and brown is negative black is for switching.

Thank you pintsize555 for your excellent advice, should I also put the negative wire to the on/off switch.
Just the red and black is needed to turn the heater on and off. If you put the brown to the red you will pop a fuse. If the switch you have has a light in you can use the brown as the earth for the light.
