I have got a prob with my 1980 Webasto heater, I've replaced the glow plug but it still
wont fire up. Does anyone know a Webasto engineer in the Surrey area? boat at Penton Hook

Older Webastos need 2/3 firing sequences before they fire up. They also tend to get filled up with soot, literally pounds of it. Failing that, try calling John Blake (Blakey) he's not a Webasto engineer but knows his way around them. His number is 01491 652247

Make sure you have at least 12 volts supply, test it when you try to fire up as a large drop in volts wont help, check to see if filter on pump is clean as not enough fuel won't help.
Test voltage at glowplug on start up, all wiring etc, if a large amount of coke and soot is present in combustion chamber I suggest removal and a strip down and clean.
I do repairs mainly to Eberspacher and it's often the simplest things that stop them working.

Hi Mark I spoke to them at the LBS and they gave me a card for a company in Norfolk called JPC Ltd
Thing is I need someone more local, Byron has given me a name.
