Webasto/Eberspacher: Vertical Flue?

Hello I am going to install a diesel hot air heater,and I intend to use a vertical flue and deck fitting left over from my charcoal stove,about 1.5" diameter. I can't see any reason it wouldn't work,anybody tried it? I was thinking the draw of the hot flue,which obviously is vital for a solid fuel stove, might upset a forced draught burner.
Anyone tried it? Or can recommend an expert installer to ask? Thanks Jerry. PS I am not looking for safety advice or dire warnings about suffocation,just vertical exhaust,thanks.

On the subject of dire warnings................oh no you don't want them do you!!

Nothing wrong with a vertical pipe just ensure that the condensate can drain off. I guess that you will have to curve the pipe through 180 degrees to install so you need to provide a drip valve or the pipe will become blocked.
There are rules for the different heaters regarding exhaust diameter and length, I guess you could stick the correct diameter exhaust up the existing flue, if the pipe had wire separators it could provide air insulation between the exhaust pipe and the flue so that the flue may not get too hot.

I have a Webasto mounted in the engine room with about 450mm of horz and 1800mm of vert flue, 22mm dia copper pipe . Works well for me. The Vert section is boxed in a 50 x 50 mm steel box section which will get warm but not hot which is nice to hang my coat on. ( Also have a co alarm in the wheelhouse.)
