the thing is i cant work out how to fix the stand off arm onto it as it seems to be 90 degrees out ??????? is it the wrong type rubber pad or do i need to buy something extra for the pad to fit, this pic below is how it is suppose to fit onto the pad

Hi Lanerboy,
I had the same stand off brackets and pads glued to appropriate place on dinghy.
On mine the 2 x pieces of stainless (shown bolted to the pad) had been purposely bent to accept the stand off bracket clips, prob best to clamp metal in vice.
Another thought, can you glue pad further round inside / outside tube of dinghy so no need to bend metal ??

Mine has a 90 degree s/s bracket bolted to the metal strip on the pad. It came with boat so not sure if it is a Weaver part or not.

yes i have seen those but personally i dont like the idea of having a bracket sticking up that the kids could catch themselves on i would prefer it to be a flush mount, but again this is another option

in my original picture though the stand off arm goes direct onto the rubber pad with no bracket
