So, who was it who said the jetstream had moved? Rubbish. As usual all those forecasts about a great summer are falling through the environmental change pan.

Call me an old fuddy duddy but it just sucks! Anyone want to buy a really nice Doral 230cc with all the gadgets?

Agree the weather is not good. How was last week when you were on holiday?

I have been on holiday for the last week, and other then last weekend I have not at the boat. I am hope tomorow will be better.

loony weather

I was speaking with an ancient farmer (well, another ancient farmer) on the moor today.

He said the bad weather is because we have 13 moons in this year - as we did last year.

Now I haven't checked it out, but it seems as good a reason as any that the CC gurus can come up with, and worth a pint in the pub to start an argument.

He didn't actually say why did he ?

What is the weather lore connection between the number of moons and crappy weather ?

I suppose we might as well blame the moon as anything else.

Worth noting that there will be two moons in December so the full moon on the 31st will a Blue moon and all those unlikely events will occur.

given that he and his father have farmed here for over 110 years, I suppose it could be based on empirical observation.

He also showed me that the sun used to set on midsummers day about two fingers' breadth further to the left when he was a boy. I don't suppose that he knows about the precession of the earth, but that's rural science for you !

It'll be interesting to see if the BBC UK outlook has got it right and the azores high will extend north end of July..... I'm banking on it, otherwise it'll be the third year down the swanee....
