Mrs FP seems to think that I will end up with a scalp that looks like an Alien (patterned) from the helmet.
Is this a real danger?

If you haven't got much on top then you either need to wear a cap underneath your lid or put sunscreen on .... a cap can be used to keep the wind/rain out of your eyes as well as catch the sweat ...

Many thanks Lisa, fingers crossed for a dry day on Saturday with no breeze. I'm hoping we all enjoy the ride, and the better the conditions the easier it will be.
