Just read the shipping forecast from earlier this evening!

Shannon. Wind to force 12 and sea state "phenominal"!

Glad I'm not out in that!

Seems very calm on the Cornwall coast right now though. Wonder when this is going to hit!

People living on the coast in Perranporth have had CG knock door to door to warn them, and have bee evacuating local OAPs from the streets closes to the sea!

Could be a bad one! Hold tight!!

Yes it is not often we see a wind forecast for UK here on the news in West Oz. It must be going to be a dilly. A special good luck wish to all my forum friends in UK. olewill

Wasn't quite as bad as they worried it might be in the end I don't think, but pretty bad. 4000 homes without electricity this AM in Devon & Cornwall, a few roads closed due to trees and power lines down.

More still to come possibly though.

Was out sailing yesterday in Falmouth bay,good wind and sunshine. We were the only ones out,expect the forcast put others off. weather doesn,t seem as bad as forcast at the moment.

It's hard to see the walls of Brighton marina at the moment. And standing up requires good balance!! I'd paste a pic if i could remember how to do it!!
