Don't think I'll go sailing tomorrow (Saturday). Interesting weather patterns forecasts.

So check out your forecasts, double up on your berthing lines, and batten down the hatches.

Interesting weather on Spanish med? not according to
THEYR

but then they are often wrong.

Incedently I take it you live/sail around those parts. What sort of weather could a person expect around the beginning of next month? and whats October like?

Both theyr and windguru are now reporting conditions not quite as strong as they were a few hours ago for Saturday. Nevertheless go back to theyr; choose Madrid or Valencia and select precipitation and cloud cover. Select Saturday and run the animations and you will see what I mean

Also saw the forecast but it's now 0840 in Palma and whilst dark clouds are over us and we've had a short rainburst - we've no wind to speak of.

Hi John. and Sue,

same here in Moraira at this time (09:20).

We were warned by marina staff early Friday morning re the incoming weather for Saturday and going into Sunday. Checked out theyr and windguru to confirm what was coming our way; they have relaxed the conditions a little bit but theyr still says that by about 10:00am this morning we, and you, will need big umbrellas and gumboots.

Enjoying your blog and the snippets of information re the islands which I'm storing away.
(Charter work going well now - but a shame we didn't get our licence earlier in the year. Looking into possibility of using Seraph for RYA training activity once the charter work gets a bit thin).

Hi Steve,
Now back in UK but your forecaster was right. The rain that came down later in the day reminded me of of tropical stroms in Oz. Estimate about 7 inches in a couple of hours - viz down to 300 metres - but still no wind.
Good luck with the charter biz - maybe catch up next year.
