Hi everyone,
Something we've not been used to for a few weeks is low pressure close to the UK.
So it's worth being aware that seas will be getting rough around western coasts of the UK, western and southern Ireland and the western Channel this weekend.
The charts below are from the sailing section at www.Weatherweb.net
First is predicted swell for 7am Saturday morning showing the main swells southern Ireland, NW France, but these spread into the southern Irish Sea through the day.
Next is midday Sunday with the swells now into the Irish Sea and affecting SW UK.
Then 12-hours later for 1am Monday morning with most western coasts and the western Channel experiencing rough seas, but look at the seas northwest of Ireland showing greater than 5.5m waves.
So the message for this weekend is beware, especially if your sailing in the western UK and Ireland.
Hope this is useful?
Keep the sun shining!
Simon
