Tend to use the american model - gfs, as displayed by windguru. On a couple of occasions recently i have noticed that Cosmo and Harmonie proved to be superior. They are european and so more local and have higher resolution. Anyone determined which model is best for the Thames estuary?

Arome and Arpege always seem the closest to actual in my experience

Windy and Weatheronline allow you to choose between alternative models.

Passage weather gives GFS, COAMPS and WRF. Like a good sailor, I toggle between them and choose the one that I can palm off on my crew.

Mine has got wise to that trick and asks if I have just picked the best.
