Weather model predictions

Can someone please explain to me the difference in weather prediction models.... I have seen GFS, GFZ, MM5, MM9, MM27.... yet don't really know what each relate to - and they give very different forecasts, just have to decide which one I like the look of most /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

They are just that different model forecasts, I stick to either GFS or Met Office. Each model has particular strengths that forecasters look at. For a textbook answer try Simon Keeling who is a regular contributor to the forum.
