weather in OZ

It has been an appalling summer. Mackay, just south of Airlie, had 2 foot of rain on Friday. But we are still on water restrictions in Brisbane, no car washing allowed for nearly a year.

hi its been crap weather here for mounths ...high winds rain .you name it we got it , but this is our cyclone season, and time of year when all this stuff happens....through the 60 and 70 s, 80 90 s it was nor mal ???? weather . now they call it freeky . and if you live north its the worst place to be in SUMMER . AND WE HAVE LOSS OF LIFE this time to, which as been all young ones , so realy bad year . hope next month sends it all packing ,

Hope it's going to improve by mid-April...we're coming over for 6 weeks (Brisbane northwards, after a week or so in Sydney). All by land, but wouldn't mind getting afloat somewhere...

Weather was bad just before Xmas but had a great day out to Great Kepple Island with Funtastic Cruises. Out of Roslyn Harbour just north of Rockhampton. 17 mt Cat great food and only 75bucks. Hans and Diane will look after you. Re. more bad weather we were on Fraser Island for Xmas when the cyclone started building in the Coral Sea. Got off back to Hervey Bay at some speed! Still it was an experience not to be missed.

There is some research going on at the moment which suggests that with a change in the AMO (Atlantic Multi-Decadal Oscillation) that the weather of the 60's and 70's could return. So although what one would expect from a strong La Nina year, it could be that the weather is Australia (and elsewhere) may return to what we consider 'normal'.

Hi
We're coming out for son's wedding in April.
The ceremony is planned for the beach at Noosa. Should I bring my oilskins?

Same here.

Was in Sydney in October and then again in November, when we had a bit of rain, will be back in April and will need good weather as we are moving furniture into storage and clearing a house.
