Guess most of us have pet weather sites we look at but has anyone out there actually analysed their individual accuracy in some way?
Just wondered I'd like to get rid of some of the sites in my "favourites"!!!

Cheers Bob E...

No need for all that modern website stuff! Most accurate means is.... stick your head out of the hatch and if your toupee flys off, spend the day in town buying another one. If it stays on, get out there! /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif
Once you're out there, if your toupee flys off during the day, make for harbour!
WARNING: Do not attempt to substitute the toupee with a hat or cap, as the increased windage of a hat or cap will result in inaccurate readings and you may consequently end up staying ashore when you should be out sailing. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
p.s.. Shaving your head if you are not naturally follically challenged, will give a more comfortable fit to toupee.

Sounds great Matt,
But if I get out at Christchurch.. I may not be able to get back in until the next Hw.
So the forecasts and their accuracy are of some interest... The Navtex seems to have cut out most of the messages I used to get... So I'm left with Radio Solent and the Portland/Solent Ch16 mob
I suppose if you're just tooling around from Lymington to Yarmouth there's not a problem.. Don't you have to get the tides at Hurst about right tho' ??
Cheers Bob E....
