What's the deal with weather forecasts in Greece. GFS, ECMWF, and Poseidon (whatever model they use) all seem to be wrong on a regular basis.
Sitting in Sami, a while back there was a southerly predicted for days and still shown on the day. Turns out to be a 25knt northerly.
At the moment, above Ithaca and Kefalonia, a south to south easterly is shown on some and a south westerly on others. Yet it's 5knt north easterly.
I can understand GFS being wrong. It's low resolution and is based on hydrostatic, but ECMWF takes into account topography. And the local ones must have weather stations all over the country.
Strange stuff.
