Weather Forecasts - Iberian peninsular & Biscay

Just brought a boat back from Gibraltar - weather relatively benign, although wind mostly on nose.
Had great difficulty getting any weather info, either from coast stations (info if any, given in a fast garbled manner, even VHF Channel change & not understandable), Navtex - masses of navigational info but little weather, BBC Radio 4 - only heard 46degN.
Apart from website access type comms, anyone got any reliable sources for this route.

had the same problem. there was an english language forecast on vhf from the spanish coastguard at la coruna but that was all i could get. we tended to rely on radio france (15.300 & 11.700 MHz at 11.39 UTC) and weatherfax from northwood which was the best all-round solution.

used the nasa weatherman successfully, but found the best source was the uk maritime mobile net on 14303 mcs
