I was just wondering why the met office have not issued a severe weather warning when this website
http://www.onlineweather.com/v4/uk/sailing/SF02.html
says that there is a chance of force 12 winds in Fair isle on Monday.
Could someone please explain.....

Probably because it is too far ahead for them. They don't normally issue those sort of warnings more than about 24 hours ahead.
Later = more than 12 hours ahead
Watch out for the warnings from Sunday morning on, I suggest.

Depends which site you look at. Harbourmasters' Forecasts http://www.weatherworld.info/harbour/town-view2.asp?ca=UKN&ct=S&co=Shetland Islands&tn=Fair Isle for Fair Isle on Monday are giving Force 7.

Personally I don't think AccuWeather are too accurate! (onlineweather.com are now computerised forecasts from America.)

You were correct, GAle warnings were issued on SUNday.
