We are about to return to the other side of the pond (Europe) and I am wondering what sources there are via ssb or weatherfax these days for that area. Route will be Azores and then Portugal or Ireland depending on weather.

All on there. From Carib - UK I had weatherfax all the way. New Orleans, then picked up Boston, then Northwood and Germany from Azores. On a little portable degen 1103 reciever. Listened to a bit of Herb but he seemed to be dealing with boats going the other way. Anyway, weatherfax is enough to stand on your own feet with. Enjoy the passage

When you off?
If you time it right and get a bit north you should catch the procession of lows which seems to be UK summer these days. A variety of wind directions, that´ll be novel

Hauling out mid April, hope to be ready as soon as a decent window to get clear of the Florida coast from 5th may onwards....
